Information we collect

We collect information you provide to us to deliver accounting, tax and advisory services, such as your name, address, email address, phone and mobile numbers, tax and financial records, and information about your spouse, dependents or business when it is needed for our work.

How we use it

We use your information only to provide and manage our services to you: preparing returns and financial statements, communicating with you about your account, sending reminders you request, scheduling, billing, and meeting our legal and professional obligations.

How we protect and share it

Client information is confidential. We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only as needed to provide our services (for example, filing with the IRS or state tax agencies, or with service providers that support our operations under confidentiality obligations), when you authorize us, or when required by law.

Mobile numbers and text messaging consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Your choices

You may ask us to update your contact information or stop non-essential communications at any time by contacting us at the address, phone or email above.

Text Messaging (SMS) Terms

What we text: AS CPA sends text messages to clients about their own accounts: reminders you ask for (such as estimated tax payment due dates), document requests, appointment reminders, filing status updates, and conversations with our staff about your account. If you ask us to, we can include your spouse or bookkeeper in a group conversation about your account; they will be asked to reply YES before receiving any messages. We do not send marketing texts.

How you sign up: by checking the text message box on our client intake form or engagement letter, by asking your AS CPA contact to turn on text reminders, or by texting START to (845) 425-2024. See exactly how consent works, including the wording of the checkbox, on our Text Message Consent page.

Message frequency varies based on your account and the reminders you request.
